Facilitating Disciplines
Here students collaborate with brands and communities, using diverse design tools Like Graphic Design, Publication Design, and UI/UX, etc. Emphasising research techniques over tools, this course molds you into a design lead crucial for team communication strategy with the audience.
Community design and cultural design are collaborative approaches that involve working closely with communities to co-create impactful solutions addressing their needs. They focus on culturally relevant design solutions, teaching designers to actively engage, empathise, and take responsibility using diverse research methods and project management skills within community contexts.
Scenography is a course where designers explore visual elements such as lighting, space, sets, narratives, emotions, engagement, costumes, and lifestyle to effectively communicate messages. It emphasises using visuals to create immersive and impactful experiences across various mediums.
Narrative design is at the core of our design methodology. We'll learn to infuse human character into our designs, making them emotionally engaging and interactive with the audience. We'll discover and nurture your unique narrative styles for your professional enhancement.
If you've ever noticed how your character, behaviour, or conversations change in different spaces, then exploring environmental design can be fascinating. Unlike interior design, this course focuses on designing spaces that consider emotions, conversation topics, and the spatial elements that influence them. We'll even incorporate psychological principles to enhance the overall experience.
Branding practice encompasses various definitions. In our course, we'll concentrate on developing brand guidelines that extend beyond typical designs such as logos and websites. These guidelines define how a brand behaves and connects with both its target audience and decision-makers. Additionally, you'll learn techniques to attract customers and deter brand adversaries.
Are you someone who typically notices flaws in products or their functionality? For instance, take the lid of a canned drink dipping into the beverage and potentially causing contamination. If you feel inclined to design a better can, you can practice this through a combination of design thinking and product design methodologies.
Experience design, also known as user experience design (UX), centers on enhancing user satisfaction and engagement. Our approach extends to how products like cars can positively impact communities, such as reducing honking near schools or expressing gratitude to someone who helped you on the road. This philosophy also applies to community centred design, ensuring inclusive experiences for all.
Design management involves overseeing the strategic integration of design processes in business operations. For example, a design management course might teach students how to coordinate design teams, align creative strategies with business objectives, and manage design projects to deliver innovative and marketable products or services.
Students interested in Feature Film Making delve into pre-production, film marketing, and distribution. Those interested in Ad Films/Branded Content explore pitching to marketing across channels. Both learn hands-on as crew members, experiencing sleepless nights and hard work. Get ready!
Have you ever been to a museum or amusement park? Have you noticed the invisible narrative that entices us to explore more and more? Yes, in our course, we'll tackle such briefs, like designing a museum that people won't yawn in or creating a workspace where employees enhance observation skills. Yes, These are the design thinking projects.
Designing for a positive user experience is crucial for engaging and satisfying your audience. It involves understanding their needs, preferences, and behaviors to create intuitive interfaces, smooth interactions, and meaningful content.
